Global
Language Center General Class Description and Price Listing
Global Language Center has a
class to
fit your needs, whether you prefer a private setting or wish to study
with
coworkers, family members, or friends. Your class fee includes
progress reports, certificates for each student, and all materials used
excluding
books that might be ordered for personal student ownership.
Below
is a general guideline for class fees, which are priced in units of 45
or 50 minutes each. (2 units are recommended per class session):

Private Classes: A private class consists
of only one student, usually a beginner, intermediate or business
professional who wishes to arrange a convenient schedule.
Price: $30-$35

Semi-private Classes: This type of course
is reserved for either two or three individuals who may or may not know
each other before class begins. Usually meets with weekly
schedule, and sometimes levels of students are very close but not
exactly the
same. Price: $13-$18/student

Business or Advanced Level Seminar Classes:
Higher levels of vocabulary and challenging course work are
accomplished in a Business English or advanced class. These
classes can be held at a business office or conference room convenient
for the student/s.
Price: $35/private student (please ask about group class
rates for discount)
- Regular
Group and Large Seminar Classes: These group courses fall
into two categories: 1) The group meets every week and each
student pays a class fee even if they are unable to attend for one or
more weeks or 2) A seminar is scheduled for a special time and is
not
held
every week. Prices vary according to course material and
number
in the group but a general guideline for pricing per unit is as
follows: Regular
Group of 4-6 students: $15/student; Large Group
of 7-10
students: $10/student;
More than 10 but not more than 15 students: $7/student

- All prices listed above are
a general guideline and are available for most classes. Also,
class
fees listed above are quoted as the price per student.
- Classes are calculated with 45 or
50-minute
increments (usually 1.5-2 units per class appointment = 75-90 minutes)
and copies of materials for student use are included in the class fee
and furnished each week for class. No books or materials are
decided until at least the 2nd lesson, and classes do not
require a student to purchase materials at any time.
- Students will
review and sign a very flexible contract which states the price for
lessons as well as the cancellation policy for each day's lesson.
Lessons can be scheduled a week or more in advance and only require one
business day's notice for canceling without charge. Please contact

- Payment
for all classes can be done by bank transfer, Paypal or cash
(cash allowed for amounts less than $50), and
the link
for PayPal is included on this website. PayPal is a free,
convenient way to transfer funds from bank accounts or charge
cards. One month or four days of lessons must be paid in advance of the
start time
of the
first class.
- Most classes are scheduled as contracts of
20, 40, or 60 units. Travel time for class is not included in the
above charges but is determined by the actual time and expense for gas,
metro fees, and parking.
For example, 20 minutes of travel time = $5-$10. A class
which is 20 minutes each direction would have approximately $20
charged per class, and this is decided before the contract is signed.
This way, the Global Language Center can come to YOU for classes,
with no wasted time from your schedule!
